Laura graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Business and discovered her love of teaching while obtaining her master’s degree in English at Portland State University. While working at the Portland State Publishing House, she developed her passion for education, which she has carried with her into her career at Aesthetics Institute as Assistant Director. Laura, a graduate of the Aesthetics Institute, returned to pass on knowledge and skills after working in the industry as an advanced esthetician for many years. While working in the industry, Laura built her skills as an educator, often training co-workers and creating protocols. Laura’s experience with corrective and advanced esthetics has driven her desire to teach the best techniques possible.

Lori Vargas, MBA, CPA, is the founder and CEO of 360 Wellness Education, a leading provider of accredited training for spa, beauty, and wellness professionals. 2-Step Training Process

Step 1: Online Training for Theory and Technique

Complete the online course before attending the live webinar session. The online course will provide you with the theory, benefits, contraindications, video demonstrations, and procedural manuals to prepare for the practical experience of the live webinar.

    • Complete the course before the live webinar session. 

Step 2: Live Webinar Training Technique Practice with Instructor Demonstration

Participating in live training will enhance your skills with the guidance of an instructor, ensuring you learn the techniques.

  • Live Webinar Hands-on Training: You may practice using your model or simply watch the demonstration. 
    • Option 1: Live model to dermaplane the model's face, neck, and décolleté. 
      • Model Pre-Treatment Recommendations 
        • Avoid the following 
        • 1 week before dermaplaning treatment: 
        • Electrolysis, sun exposure, cease the use of topical agents such as glycolic acids, alpha-hydroxy acids, chemical peels, cease treatment of Botox or dermal fillers
        • 2 weeks before dermaplaning treatment: 
        • Wax hair removal, laser hair removal, cease the use of Vitamin A / Retinoids and derivatives (oral or topical) 
    • Option 2: Mannequin with shoulders.
    • Option 3: Observe the session.
  • Recommended Product & Supplies: 
    • #3 Scalpel Handle, #10 or #10R Surgical Blades, Blade Remover, Facial Oil
  • Certificates
    • Online CEUs Certificate will be distributed after completing the online course.
